This iconic rink offers a unique blend of natural beauty and urban charm, making it a favorite destination for both locals and tourists alike. The rink is open seasonally, typically from late October through early April, providing ample opportunity for visitors to enjoy skating amidst the stunning backdrop of Central Park.

Throughout its history, Wollman Rink has hosted numerous events, including ice skating shows and special performances. The venue is known for its well-maintained ice surface and picturesque surroundings, which have garnered positive reviews from visitors who appreciate the enchanting atmosphere. Ticket prices vary depending on the time of day and the type of event, with general admission typically ranging from $10 to $20.

Seating Information

While Wollman Rink primarily serves as an ice skating venue, it does offer limited seating options for spectators. The best viewing areas are located along the edges of the rink, where attendees can enjoy close-up views of skaters performing their routines. These sections provide an intimate experience, allowing spectators to fully appreciate the skill and artistry on display.

However, it is advisable to avoid seating areas that are too far from the rink's edge, as visibility may be compromised. The general layout allows for a comfortable viewing experience, but those seeking the best sightlines should aim for spots directly adjacent to the ice.

Parking Information

Parking near Wollman Rink can be challenging due to its central location in New York. However, there are several parking options available for visitors. One of the best choices is the Central Park South Garage, located at 1 Central Park South. This facility offers convenient access to the rink and typically charges around $30 for a few hours of parking.

In addition to Central Park South Garage, there are other parking lots and street parking options available nearby. It is advisable to avoid parking in areas with strict time limits or high traffic congestion, as this can lead to fines or difficulty accessing your vehicle after events. Overall, planning ahead for parking will enhance your experience at Wollman Rink.
